Decades of success: sales of all Final Fantasy games have surpassed 200 million copies
We have already reported Not a failure, but a setback: sales of Final Fantasy XVI in almost two years have totalled just 3.5 million copies- in almost two years they increased by only 500 thousand copies and reached the figure of 3.5 million, which is a bad result for such an expensive and highly appreciated project.
However, in general, Final Fantasy continues to be one of the most popular game franchises, which is confirmed by the new Square Enix announcement.
Here's What We Know
The Japanese publisher has estimated that the total sales of all parts of Final Fantasy, of which several dozen have been released in almost forty years, have exceeded 200 million copies.
The Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series has sold over 5 million copies worldwide, and the Final Fantasy series has now sold over 200 million copies across the globe!

The last time such data was announced in July 2023 and at that time it was 180 million. It is easy to calculate that in 1.5 years sold about 20 million copies of various parts of Final Fantasy.
Square Enix separately emphasised the popularity of the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster compilation, which includes slightly updated versions of the first six parts of the series. Sales of this collection have surpassed 5 million copies.
