Samsung's rugged Galaxy XCover 7 Pro appears on Geekbench and receives FCC certification

Samsung continues to expand its line of ruggedised smartphones. The upcoming Galaxy XCover 7 Pro (model SM-G766U) has received FCC certification, which indicates its imminent launch.

Here's What We Know

The device will be the successor to the XCover 7 and will offer improved durability and performance.

According to the FCC (ID A3LSMG766U), the smartphone will support 2G/3G/4G/5G networks, Wi-Fi 6 (2.4/5/6 GHz), Bluetooth, NFC, and will have a powerful ruggedised body.

The device was listed on the Geekbench platform under the code SM-G766U1. It features a Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chipset (1×2.50 GHz, 3×2.40 GHz, 2×1.80 GHz) with Adreno 810 graphics. The smartphone scored 1157 points in the single-core and 3288 points in the multi-core test. It will run on Android 15 with One UI 7, have 6 GB of RAM and a 4265 mAh battery.

Expected characteristics

Considering the specs of its predecessor, the Galaxy XCover 7 Pro may feature an IP68 and MIL-STD-810H certified body, Gorilla Glass Victus+ screen protection, a 6.6-inch FHD+ display with increased sensitivity to touch with gloves, and a removable battery.

The official announcement of Samsung XCover 7 Pro may take place in the near future.

A year ago, the Galaxy XCover 7 received a plastic rubberised body with IP68 water and MIL-STD-810H shock protection. The gadget comes with tempered Gorilla Glass Victus+. The novelty is equipped with a 6.6-inch display. The screen has an LCD matrix, Full HD+ resolution, and a standard refresh rate of 60 Hz.
