The gnomes are back in action: Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor leaves early access in September, and Rogue Core prepares for alpha

After a year of digging, shooting, and surviving in the dungeons of Hawkes, Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor is getting ready for its full release. The game, which has already gathered more than a million players, will be released in version 1.0 on 17 September 2025. In the meantime, there is more news for gnome fans: the spin-off Rogue Core will soon start its closed alpha.
Here's What We Know
Deep Rock Galactic: Survivor was launched on Steam Early Access on 14 February 2024 and quickly gained popularity, selling over a million copies in a month. Players spent more than 13 million hours in the game, mined 9 billion gold and 3.8 billion nitra. The most popular class was the driller, and only 3.7% of players managed to complete the Hazard 5 mission.
In March 2024, the game received an update with the new Salt Pits biome, which added new challenges and enemies. The developers from Funday Games plan to support the game until its full release by adding new modes, mission modifiers, weapons, and enemies.
As for Rogue Core, it is a new spin-off in the Deep Rock Galactic universe that promises a co-operative roguelike experience. The game is preparing for closed alpha testing, and registration for it will begin in the near future.
