It's an updated Volvo S90, but it won't be available in Europe or the US

Volvo has unveiled the updated S90 sedan, calling it "new", although in fact this is the second restyling of the model (the first was in 2020). Apparently, the company is going to extend the life cycle of the flagship sedan for at least a few more years, but only in certain markets.
Here's What We Know
The main changes echo last year's update of the XC90 crossover: the redesigned grille and matrix LED optics are now inherited by the S90. The bonnet, front bumper and front wings are also changed. At the rear, the restyling has affected the shape and graphics of the lights. In the palette there are two new colours - Aurora Silver and Mulberry Red, as well as updated two-tone design variants of wheel rims.

In the interior, the main novelty is the enlarged 11.2-inch vertical screen of the multimedia system, as in the XC90. Due to its size, the display is now not integrated into the front panel, but slightly protrudes beyond it, which may not be to everyone's taste. Noise insulation has also been improved and adaptive suspension is now standard.

Volvo isn't revealing technical details yet, but says the plug-in hybrid will be able to travel up to 80 kilometres (50 miles) in electric mode on the WLTP cycle. A mild hybrid and front-wheel drive version will also be available in some countries. Recall, about a year ago, the Swedish carmaker finally abandoned diesel engines.
Sales of the updated Volvo S90 will start in the summer in China. As confirmed by the company's representative in a comment for Motor1, in Europe and the U.S. novelty should not wait: "At the moment we plan to offer the new S90 in China and a limited number of key Asian markets."
