Samsung has unveiled its new Galaxy M56 smartphone in India, which comes with a slim design, 6 years of support and 45W charging speeds

Samsung has unveiled a new Galaxy M56 smartphone in India, which has received several improvements over its predecessor.

Here's What We Know

The new smartphone is 30 per cent thinner than its predecessor Galaxy M55. It measures 7.2mm thick and weighs 180 grams. Despite being compact, the device has a 5000 mAh battery with 45W fast charging support. The smartphone has a 6.74-inch Super AMOLED+ screen with 1080p+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate and improved brightness.

The Galaxy M56 is powered by an Exynos 1480 processor with an Xclipse 530 graphics core, which was found in last year's Galaxy A55. The device features 8GB of RAM and 128GB of inbuilt storage. The camera includes a 50-megapixel main module with optical stabilisation support and 4K video recording, as well as an 8 MP ultra-wide-angle camera and a 2 MP macro camera. The front camera has a 12 MP resolution.

The smartphone is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+ and has passed drop resistance tests from a height of 2 metres. The Galaxy M56 will be available in India from 23 April priced at $295 and will get software support until 2030. Available in two colours: light green and black. There is no information about the global sales of the smartphone yet.
