Xiaomi has announced the launch of the new Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U gaming monitor, which will be officially released in China on 24 April. The new product is the successor to the Redmi Display G Pro 27, significantly surpassing it in terms of performance.

Here's What We Know

The new model has a 4K display with Mini LED backlighting and 1,152 local dimming zones that provide a peak brightness of up to 1,600 nits, which is 60% more than its predecessor. The monitor is VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certified and supports Dolby Vision HDR, which guarantees deep colours and image detail.

The Redmi Monitor G Pro 27U uses a Fast IPS panel that operates at 4K resolution and 160Hz refresh rate by default, but can switch to 1080p/320Hz for eSports gaming. The monitor has 99% coverage of the Adobe RGB and DCI-P3 colour spaces, making it ideal for designers and gamers.

Interfaces include HDMI 2.1, DisplayPort 1.4, a pair of 5-watt speakers, a USB hub, and pre-installed HyperOS 2, which allows the monitor to be used as a smart TV. The international release and price have not yet been announced.

Xiaomi has recently introduced the Redmi G27Q 240Hz affordable gaming monitor with 2K resolution and a price of only $165. The novelty has a 27″ Fast IPS screen with a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels, a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and a response time of 1 ms. It features AMD FreeSync Premium technology that eliminates image tearing and reduces latency.
