Honor has started rolling out MagicOS 9.0.0.169 update for Magic6 and Magic5 smartphones.

Here's What We Know

The update significantly improves camera quality, adds support for Android Auto for convenient use of the smartphone in the car, as well as a new Wi-Fi password function that should simplify network connectivity.

Improvements have also been made to the personal hotspot. In addition, Honor has updated the tactile feedback system in applications, making vibrations clearer and more pleasant.

The new features include an improved double-tap to switch off the screen and the ability to switch on the flashlight directly from the lock screen, which will come in handy in the dark. Now you can block calls from unknown operators, which will help you avoid spam.

Another useful option is the Hide Apps feature, which allows you to hide installed applications from prying eyes without having to install third-party apps.

The update also includes the April 2025 security patches, which increases the protection of devices from current threats.

The firmware is distributed in stages, so if it has not yet appeared on your smartphone, you will have to wait.

Honor 400 smartphone prices for European customers have recently been revealed. Buyers will be offered the smartphone in three colours: black, gold, or silver. Earlier, insiders reported the characteristics of the Honor 400: body thickness of 7.3 mm, weight of 184 grams, and IP652 protection.
