Aston Martin will launch a smartphone with one of the Android device makers, an insider says

British company Aston Martin, known for its luxury supercars, is planning to return to the smartphone market through a partnership with an as yet unknown Android device maker.

Aston Martin has previously launched limited edition smartphones with Acer, Nokia and Samsung. This time, according to @UniverseIce, the partner could be a Chinese manufacturer, prompting speculation of a possible tie-up with Meizu, owned by Geely - Aston Martin's third largest shareholder.

The teaser video shows off the device with a flat display and silver bezel. The smartphone is expected to feature premium specs such as a powerful Snapdragon or MediaTek processor, a high-frequency display and an advanced camera. The design of the device could be inspired by the aesthetics of Aston Martin cars, including aerodynamic lines and carbon fibre textures.
This project could be an important step for the brand, appealing to both fans of its cars and lovers of exclusive gadgets.
