Mozilla launches tabbed grouping feature in Firefox

Almost three years after the launch of the Mozilla Connect platform, the company has finally implemented one of the most popular features that users have been requesting for a long time: tabbed groups.
Here's What We Know
With this new feature, Firefox lets you organise tabs into categories, making it easier to work with multiple pages open.
Starting with Firefox version 137, you can now drag and drop tabs into separate groups, assign names and colours to them, and the groups themselves are displayed on the right side of the top menu. This feature will be available to all users by 6 May 2025.

Until now, only Safari users had a similar feature, where tabs could be saved in separate groups for later access. Groups of tabs are very convenient for planning trips, shopping, researching projects, and other tasks that require numerous tabs to be open.
Mozilla is also working on introducing smart tab groups. This AI-powered feature will suggest names for groups and automatically allocate tabs based on context, which may be available in the future.
Detailed instructions for setting up and managing tab groups can be found on the official Mozilla website.
In December 2024, Mozilla unveiled a new logo and announced that it was "preparing for a new era of technology".
