Onyx Boox has unveiled the Tab X C tablet with a 13.3-inch Kaleido 3 colour E Ink screen - the first in the range with such a large colour display.

The novelty is rather not an e-book, but a gadget for those who work a lot with texts, PDF-files, notes and need the ability to make handwritten notes, comments, edits, and it can be done in rich and bright colours.

Here's What We Know

Tab X C received an octa-core Qualcomm processor, 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory (SD-slot for increasing the amount of memory is not provided). The device runs on Android 13 with Google Play support, which allows you to install third-party apps. The screen resolution is 3200×2400 pixels in black and white mode and 1600×1200 in colour. The density is 300 ppi and 150 ppi respectively.

The tablet supports InkSpire stylus (for the first time - with charging), which distinguishes it from models with passive Wacom pens. There is backlighting with colour temperature adjustment, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB-C with OTG support, built-in speakers and microphone. A 5500 mAh battery will provide decent battery life.

The device weighs 625g and is 5.3mm thick. The price is $819 in the US and €759 in Europe.

A case with keyboard is available for the Onyx Boox Tab X C.

If you've long wanted a tablet with a large colour E Ink display and are willing to put up with a price of $800, the Onyx Boox Tab X C is a great choice.
