The Assassin's Creed franchise has become Ubisoft's most important franchise and the company's fate almost entirely depends on it.

Authoritative insider Tom Henderson has repeatedly reported that a huge number of games of this series are in development and today he shared updated information.

Here's What We Know

Insider Gaming published an exclusive material with brief information about nine upcoming games.

Of course, we've heard about some of them, but true Assassin's Creed fans can already rejoice at a few more potentially interesting projects.

So, Ubisoft's plans include nine Assassin's Creed games:

  • Assassin's Creed Jade, a mobile game set in China. It is expected to be first in line for release;
  • Assassin 's Creed Invictus - a multiplayer project inspired by Fall Guys-style games, with 16 players competing in online matches;
  • Obsidian - a remake of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag, built from the ground up on a new version of the Anvil engine;
  • Assassin's Creed Hexe, a mystery instalment set in 16th century Europe during the witch-hunting era. The game will be released after the content support for Shadows is complete;
  • Scarlet - another large-scale RPG, probably formerly known as Nebula, set in India, the Mediterranean, and the Aztec Empire;
  • Stardust - a second remake in the plan, details of which are currently unknown;
  • Emerald - another online project, possibly PvE, with planned support for at least 5 years;
  • RPG 3 - a third major RPG game, currently without a title or definite development team;
  • Remake 3 - the last mentioned work, a remake of a mystery instalment to be released about a year after RPG 3.

The release schedule is subject to change.

Despite the difficult situation Ubisoft is currently in, the French company does not intend to slow down. Fans of Assassin's Creed can expect an incredibly busy decade full of experiments, returns to classics and large-scale adventures with an exciting plot.
