Insider: Xiaomi 16 will get the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 chip and a 6800mAh battery

Well-known insider Wisdom Pikachu has revealed details of the yet-to-be unveiled Xiaomi 16 flagship smartphone.

The informant revealed that the Xiaomi 16 will be the first smartphone to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 single-chip chip. Wisdom Pikachu believes that both the new products (smartphone and chip) will be unveiled in September.

The Xiaomi 16 will get a 6,800mAh battery with up to 100W charging support, which combined with the compact 6.3″ screen will make the smartphone one of the most autonomous in its class. It will outperform the Samsung Galaxy S25 (of the same size) by a factor of two.

Notably, the new smartphone from Xiaomi could be the firstgadget with Android 16-based HyperOS 3.0 pre-installed.
