Garmin has officially confirmed that some of the features that debuted in the new Forerunner 570 and 970 smartwatches will be available on other models.

Here's What We Know

Among them are Evening Report and Running Tolerance. According to DC Rainmaker, the software update will affect the Fenix 8, Enduro 3 and Tactix 8 models.

The new features are already available in the Forerunner 570 and 970 models, which went on sale on 21 May with a price of $549.99. However, Garmin plans to add them in upcoming software updates for the Fenix 8, Enduro 3, and Tactix 8 series. This means that users of other recent models such as the Instinct 3, Instinct E, and vivoactive 6, as well as the Fenix 7 and Epix Pro, will not receive these features, although other updates such as Breathing Variations and Rucking activity are available for them.

The price of the Garmin Fenix 8 is currently around $789.99, which is only slightly more expensive than the Forerunner 970. Given the likelihood of new features in the Fenix 8, this watch may be a better buy for those who want modern features. The update date for the Fenix 8, Enduro 3, and Tactix 8 has not yet been announced, but is expected in the near future.

As a reminder, the new stable System Software 15.31 update is already available for Garmin Fenix 8 and Tactix 8. The firmware includes almost 100 changes: 20 new features, 75 bug fixes and several important improvements.
