Govee is preparing to release an updated version of the popular Galaxy Light Projector Pro - the device is called Galaxy Light Projector 2 Pro.

Here's What We Know

The new model has already been certified according to the Matter standard, which ensures easy integration into various smart home systems.

According to the Connectivity Standards Alliance (CSA) database, the Galaxy Light Projector 2 Pro is designed for indoor use and creates a calming atmosphere with light projections on walls or ceilings. The device supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity and can be controlled via the Govee Home app.

Importantly, Matter 1.2 support will allow the projector to connect to various smart home ecosystems.

Little is known about the technical specifications so far. For comparison, the original Galaxy Light Projector Pro, released in 2023, has eight rotating discs, 38 built-in scenes, and DIY functions for creating space projections. It also doubles as a Bluetooth speaker and offers 37 kinds of white noise for relaxation.

Govee Galaxy Light Projector 2 Pro is expected to go on sale in the near future. The exact release date and price have not yet been announced, but the estimated price may be around $180, just like the previous model. For those looking for a more budget-friendly option, the company also sells the Star Light Projector for around $70 on Amazon.
