Samsung's next smartphones may feature Perplexity artificial intelligence.

Here's What We Know

Journalist and insider Mark Gurman of Bloomberg, who specialises in Apple news, has unexpectedly revealed the Korean giant's plans. According to him, Samsung is in talks with Perplexity and if the deal goes through, the Koreans will become the largest investor in the AI company, and in return will be able to integrate the advanced AI assistant into the Galaxy S26, Samsung Internet and will be able to use it to expand the capabilities of its own chatbot Bixby.

With this decision, Samsung wants to reduce its dependence on Google and its Gemini AI, which is currently installed in the Galaxy S25. Perhaps Galaxy S26 users will be given the option to choose between Gemini and Perplexity as the default opening apps.
