A new level of gaming on iPhone, iPad and Mac: Apple Games app unveiled
At the WWDC 2025 conference, as reported by insiders, Apple unveiled a new gaming hub that will combine Apple Arcade, App Store recommendations, a user's game library, and Game Centre social features.
Here's What We Know
The app is simply named Apple Games and is a single platform for all of a user's games on an iPhone, iPad or Mac.
The developer has included Game Center Overlay, a new interface for iPad and Mac that appears on top of the game and allows you to view your friends lists and settings.
Apple Games will introduce social features, including the ability to play co-operatively and other types of shared entertainment through the Play Together option.
Leaderboards and Challenges will appear in the app, adding a competitive element to games and allowing you to monitor the progress of friends/rivals.
Apple Games will be released alongsideiOS 26, iPadOS 26 and macOS 26 Tahoe in autumn 2025.
