BMW 540i xDrive Legacy Edition sedan turns out to be a Canadian exclusive
BMW Group Canada has introduced a limited edition BMW 540i xDrive Legacy Edition sedan for the Canadian market. Only 151 copies have been produced.
Here's What We Know
The 2026 model year BMW 540i xDrive Legacy Edition is powered by a 3.0-litre BMW TwinPower Turbo inline six-cylinder engine with 375 hp. Combined with an 8-speed automatic transmission, the all-wheel drive 540i xDrive accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The Legacy Edition also stands out with a turquoise body colour. The inspiration was the E34 model, which was the first to receive the 540i modification. Then the sedan was equipped with a V8 engine with a manual transmission. However, the modern 540i is available in other colours, including black, grey and bronze-brown.
Standard equipment includes 21-inch Individual discs, the M Sport Pro styling package, and a premium Bowers Wilkins audio system.
Deliveries of the BMW 540i xDrive Legacy Edition will begin in the fourth quarter of 2025. Prices have not yet been named, but given the exclusivity of the series, they could exceed the 100 thousand Canadian dollars mark (about 72.6 thousand US dollars).
