Legendary game designer Peter Molyneux, the author of such iconic games as Fable, Dungeon Keeper and Black & White, is retiring and as his final work is preparing to release Masters of Albion.

This is a “God simulator” game created by Molyneux, which, despite its name, is not related to the Fable franchise, although the events again unfold in Albion.

What is known

The project from the studio 22cans will be released in early access on Steam on April 22, and to attract additional attention to Masters of Albion, the developers have presented a gameplay trailer.

The video reminds us that after centuries of measured life, magic returns to the game world, generating a huge amount of chaos and various monsters. The player will take on the role of a God who through their actions can either help people and animals, protecting them from dangers and woes, or, on the contrary, make their lives unbearable.

Gamers can literally influence all processes in the game: manage a small settlement, construct buildings, arrange the lives of the population, adjust all elements of the environment, directly influence the actions and behavior of the characters, and even change the weather.

At night, evil forces awaken in Albion and only God (the player) can fight them.

So far, Masters of Albion is announced only for PC.
