Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Shocks Industry, Dominates BAFTA Games Awards 2026 with Record Wins

The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) held its annual awards for the best games.

2025 turned out to be incredibly rich with unconventional, creative and bold novelties, but most of the noise was made by the 'French JRPG' Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which became the most awarded game in the industry, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 became the most awarded game in industry history.

And as part of the BAFTA Games Awards, the debut game by the small studio Sandfall Interactive was named the best release of 2025, but it shared the first place in the number of awards with the superhero interactive series with strategy elements Dispatch — each receiving three statuettes. The samurai action game Ghost of Yōtei received two awards.
