HONOR Unveils MagicPad3 Pro 12.3: Ultra-Thin Tablet with Cutting-Edge OLED Display and PC-Like Performance
HONOR introduced a new version of its flagship tablet — MagicPad3 Pro, this time with a screen diagonal of 12.3 inches and an aspect ratio of 15.6:10. The model is positioned as a more compact and high-tech alternative to the previously released 13.3” version, offering one of the best OLED displays in its class and a record-thin body.
Display and design
The main feature of the novelty is the OLED screen with impressive characteristics, aimed at professional graphic work and comfortable media viewing:
- resolution 3K (3000 × 1920 pixels);
- adaptive refresh rate: from 65 to 165 Hz;
- peak brightness up to 3000 nits, providing excellent visibility even in direct sunlight;
- 93% DCI-P3 color space coverage.
The body of MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 is made of aluminum and is only 4.82 mm thick, making the device one of the thinnest tablets on the market, surpassing current iPad Pro models in this regard.
Technical specifications and autonomy
The novelty received a top-end Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and is equipped with a powerful cooling system, allowing for maximum performance without the risk of overheating.
HONOR offers configurations up to 12 GB of RAM and storage up to 512 GB. Since the tablet does not have a SIM card slot, internet connection is only possible via Wi-Fi.
High autonomy is ensured by a 10,100 mAh battery with support for fast charging at 66 W, as well as reverse charging at 27 W (for charging accessories and smartphones from the tablet).
MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 supports the Magic Pencil 3 stylus and a proprietary magnetic keyboard, which, combined with high performance and an adapted interface, transform the tablet into a full-fledged laptop.
Like most work tablets, MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 has a modest set of cameras: a 13 MP main sensor and an 8 MP front camera.
Software and positioning
MagicPad3 Pro 12.3 runs on MagicOS 10 based on Android 16. The software shell is optimized for multitasking: a desktop PC mode is implemented, the file transfer system between HONOR devices is improved, and the capabilities for working in split-screen mode are expanded.
Price and availability
Pre-orders are already open in China, and the novelty will be available for sale on April 28. Prices for the base configuration start from $585 and go up to $765 for the 12/512 GB version. The timeline for the global release will be announced additionally.
