Asus ZenScreen MQ16FC: a 16-inch OLED portable monitor with two-way USB-C charging
Asus has launched the ZenScreen MQ16FC, a 16-inch OLED portable monitor priced at €299.90 (around $350) that can both display your laptop's output and charge it simultaneously over a single USB-C cable. UK retailer KSN Online began stocking it in April 2026; US pricing and availability have not been announced yet. For remote workers fed up juggling cables between a laptop, charger, and external screen, the feature list is worth a look.
The screen
The MQ16FC uses an OLED panel in a 16:10 aspect ratio — slightly taller than the 16:9 you get on most portable monitors — at a native resolution of 1920×1200 (WUXGA). That extra vertical space matters more than it sounds for productivity work: spreadsheets, code editors, and long documents all scroll less. Contrast is rated at 100,000:1, colour coverage hits 95% of the DCI-P3 gamut, and the panel ships factory-calibrated to Delta E < 2, which means colours are accurate enough for photo and video editing straight out of the box. Response time is 1ms, and HDR10 is supported.

The Asus ZenScreen MQ16FC features a 16-inch OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio and 1920×1200 resolution.
The monitor weighs 0.68 kg — under 1.5 lbs — and the body is slim enough to slip into a laptop bag without much notice. Asus includes a built-in 1/4-inch tripod socket, so you can mount it on a standard camera tripod at eye level rather than propping it against a water bottle.

At 0.68 kg, the ZenScreen MQ16FC is light enough to carry daily alongside a laptop.
The power trick
Two USB-C ports with DisplayPort Alt Mode handle video input, and there's also a mini-HDMI port. The standout feature is two-way power passthrough at up to 65W: plug a USB-C power adapter or battery pack into the monitor, and it will pass charge through to your connected laptop while running the display. Alternatively, the laptop itself can power the monitor. One cable, one adapter — no separate charger needed on your desk or in a café.
That 65W passthrough is a genuine differentiator in the sub-£400 portable monitor segment, where most IPS rivals offer no battery or charging at all. The Techzine Global review calls it "an excellent choice at a fairly reasonable asking price" for on-the-go productivity.

Two USB-C ports and a mini-HDMI port handle connectivity; two-way 65W power passthrough is built in.
Asus also bundles DisplayWidget Center software, which auto-detects the monitor's orientation and switches between landscape and portrait mode automatically — handy if you flip it for reading long documents.
Availability
The MQ16FC is confirmed available in the EU at €299.90. UK shoppers can find it now via KSN Online. US launch timing remains unannounced, per the ASUS official US spec sheet. If you need a portable second screen today, it's worth watching for US retail listings — or ordering from a UK seller if the price works out.
