Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro land May 28 with quad cameras and a 7,000mAh battery
Xiaomi has confirmed a global launch for the 17T and 17T Pro on May 28, 2026 — several months ahead of the T-series' usual September slot. The Pro starts at €999 (~$1,170) for 12GB/512GB, a €100 jump over the 15T Pro, while the standard 17T opens at €749 (~$878) for 12GB/256GB. US dollar pricing and carrier availability have not been announced.

The hardware
The 17T Pro runs MediaTek's Dimensity 9500 on a 6.83-inch 144Hz OLED panel. Its headline spec is the battery: 7,000mAh with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. For context, the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra tops out at 45W wired; Apple's iPhone still sits around 25W. Xiaomi says the 17T Pro can go from zero to full in well under an hour, though long-term thermal effects of repeated fast charging remain a standing question among reviewers.
The standard 17T steps down to a Dimensity 8500-Ultra, a 6.59-inch 120Hz AMOLED, and a 6,500mAh battery with 67W charging — still fast by most standards.
Both phones keep the Leica Summilux optics partnership that debuted on earlier Xiaomi flagships. The quad-camera layout — four lenses arranged in a square — is the visual centerpiece of the teaser. The main sensor is a 50MP unit with Leica-tuned processing; a 5x periscope telephoto rounds out the stack, per Notebookcheck promo validation. Final sensor model (Light Fusion 800 vs. 950) hasn't been officially confirmed.
What it means here
At €999, the 17T Pro undercuts the Galaxy S25 Ultra and iPhone 16 Pro Max but lands near Samsung's Galaxy S25+. The MediaTek Dimensity chip, rather than Snapdragon, may give some US buyers pause — Qualcomm still dominates the premium conversation stateside.
Preorder bundles include Redmi Headphones Neo with the 17T and a Smart Band 10 plus headphones with the 17T Pro, though regional availability is unconfirmed outside Europe, according to Gizmochina specs leak. The May 28 date is confirmed; UK and US pricing will likely follow closer to launch.
