Xiaomi's Smart Band 10 Pro has gone on sale in Japan, marking its first appearance outside China and the clearest signal yet that a wider international release is close. The tracker packs a 2000-nit AMOLED display — a spec that matches flagship smartphones — into a wrist-worn device starting at around $68. For anyone who found the standard Band 10 too basic, the Pro variant adds GPS, a ceramic edition, and meaningfully better health sensors.

The hardware

The 1.74-inch AMOLED screen runs at 480 × 336 pixels and hits a peak brightness of 2000 nits, up from the 1500 nits on the regular Band 10. That difference is real outdoors: direct sunlight readability is where most budget trackers fall flat, and Xiaomi is leaning hard on this gap. Battery capacity is 350 mAh, with a claimed 21-day life in economy mode — expect that to drop under heavy always-on or GPS use, but it still comfortably outlasts most smartwatches.

The Pro adds dual-band GNSS (GPS plus secondary satellite networks), which Xiaomi says improves accuracy in dense urban areas and tree cover — a genuine draw for city runners and cyclists. Heart-rate tracking claims 98.2% accuracy, and HRV-based sleep monitoring is included. The app now syncs with Apple Health, a first for the Pro line. Water resistance is 5ATM, so swimming and showers are fine.

Four colour options are available in Japan: Black, Pink, Silver, and a Ceramic Edition. The aluminium base model runs approximately $68; the ceramic version comes in at around $87 — about 12% more expensive than the Band 9 Pro it replaces.

What this means for UK and US buyers

Neither the UK nor the US has an official launch date for the Pro model. The standard Band 10 is currently available at Xiaomi UK for £39.99, but there is no Pro listing as of May 2026. Based on the Band 9 Pro precedent — China launch in October 2024 followed by global availability within a few months — Memeburn puts the global window at June to August 2026.

At that price point, the Band 10 Pro sits well below the Apple Watch SE (around $249) while offering comparable outdoor readability and GPS. It won't replace a full smartwatch — there are no third-party apps, no NFC payments in Europe, and no cellular option — but as a dedicated fitness tracker with a premium finish, the ceramic edition in particular punches well above the typical sub-$100 bracket.

The verdict

This is an incremental upgrade over the Band 9 Pro: brighter screen, sharper sensors, and a new ceramic tier. If you already own the ninth generation, the display and dual-band GPS are the only compelling reasons to switch. For first-time buyers in the fitness-tracker market, the Pro model sets a strong benchmark for what under $90 can get you — assuming Xiaomi confirms international pricing in line with Japan.
