Samsung Galaxy A27 leaks in new colors ahead of launch

Samsung's upcoming Galaxy A27 has appeared in a fresh set of leaked renders, giving us the clearest look yet at a phone expected to arrive sometime between June and August 2026. The images, shared by well-known leaker Mohammed Khatri on X, confirm at least three color options — Light Pink, Blue, and Black — and show a design that ditches the notch found on the A26 in favor of a cleaner punch-hole camera cutout.

The look

The A27 slots firmly into Samsung's current design language: flat sides, flat screen, and a triple-camera block on the back. It's a flagship silhouette at a mid-range price, and that's clearly the point. The 6.7-inch Full HD+ display runs at 120Hz, which is competitive at this price tier. Under the hood, Samsung is switching from Exynos to a Qualcomm Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 — a 2024-era chip that brings efficiency gains but posts lower Geekbench scores than the A26's Exynos 1380, per GSMArena specs. Real-world performance differences will likely be small, but it's worth flagging for spec-sheet shoppers.

The camera setup leads with a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilisation (OIS), backed by an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. A 12MP selfie camera sits in that new punch-hole. Battery is a 5,000mAh cell with 25W wired charging — no wireless charging here. The phone will ship with Android 16 and Samsung's One UI 8.5.

The catch

The biggest change isn't in the spec list — it's what's missing. Samsung has removed the microSD slot entirely. The A26 supported up to 1TB of expandable storage; the A27 caps you at 128GB or 256GB of fixed internal storage, with no way to add more. For a phone aimed squarely at budget-conscious buyers, that's a meaningful step backward.

What to expect in the UK and US

UK pricing is expected to land between £299 and £349, putting the A27 below the A37 at £399 but in direct competition with the Nothing Phone 2a and Motorola Edge 40 — both of which still offer microSD or better chip performance at similar prices. US availability through Verizon, AT&T;, and T-Mobile is anticipated, though no carriers have confirmed anything yet.

No official launch date has been announced. Samsung typically saves mid-range A-series reveals for the first half of the year, so an H2 2026 window — if confirmed — would be an unusual delay, possibly timed around clearing A37 and A57 stock on shelves.
