THQ Nordic's August showcase brings back The Guild after 24 years

THQ Nordic has locked in August 7, 2026 for its annual Digital Showcase, streaming live at 9 PM CEST (8 PM BST) on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam. The event will cover several already-announced titles alongside new reveals — and the publisher is promising a "fresh look at fan-favorite franchises," which suggests more than just progress updates.

The lineup

Five confirmed games will feature in the show. Titan Quest II, the mythological action-RPG from Munich-based Grimlore Games, is coming to PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. Wreckfest 2 continues the demolition-derby racing series. Fatekeeper and Expeditions: Samurai round out the previously-announced slate, with the latter being a tactical RPG set in feudal Japan.

The one that stands out is The Guild: Europa 1410. Developed by Prague studio Ashborne Games, it's a medieval dynasty simulator that lets players build trade empires across four historical cities. The series last saw a major release in 2002 — a 24-year gap that makes this one of the longer franchise resurrections in recent memory. According to Simulation Daily, the game hits Steam Early Access on July 16, 2026, ahead of the showcase itself. Players can choose from eleven professions and manage a family business across generations. Console availability has not been confirmed.

What to watch for

THQ Nordic says new announcements will sit alongside the franchise retrospectives, so the August 7 event isn't purely a progress report. The showcase is free to watch on all three platforms at the same time. Whether Capcom's own showcase — scheduled for June 25 — steals any thunder beforehand remains to be seen, but THQ Nordic's European-developer-heavy slate gives it a distinct identity. Games Press confirmed the official date and full lineup.
