Motorola's Moto Pad 70 Pro is a 13-inch tablet with a bundled stylus for under $400
Motorola just launched the Moto Pad 70 Pro in India, a 13-inch tablet that undercuts the iPad Pro by over $900 while including a stylus in the box — something Apple charges extra for. It went on sale July 4 via Flipkart and Motorola.in starting at the equivalent of around $349 after a bank discount. There's no US or UK release date yet, and no FCC filing has appeared, but the specs make it worth watching.
The screen and chip
The display is a 13-inch LTPS IPS LCD at 3.5K resolution (3504 × 2190) with a 144Hz refresh rate and up to 800 nits of brightness. It's not AMOLED, but the combination of resolution and refresh rate is competitive with panels found on more expensive tablets. Under the hood sits Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, which Motorola claims scores 2.5 million on AnTuTu — the kind of performance that handles gaming, video editing, and multitasking without complaint, per GSMArena.
The body is all metal, 6.2mm thin, and weighs 589g. Four JBL speakers with Dolby Atmos handle audio. Connectivity includes Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, and there's a microSD slot supporting cards up to 2TB.

The stylus angle
The Moto Pen Pro comes bundled in the box — no separate purchase required. It ties into several AI features: Sketch to Image turns rough drawings into finished artwork, AI Live Transcript converts audio to text in real time, and Smarter Reader summarizes long documents. A snap-on keyboard is available separately for the equivalent of around $72, and the tablet supports a Desk Mode for laptop-style use.
Software is Android 16, with Motorola promising two major OS updates and security patches through 2030.
Price and availability
Two storage options are available in India: 8GB RAM with 128GB storage (around $390) or 256GB storage (around $430). The keyboard bundle comes to roughly $500. The tablet ships in a single color, Pantone Titan.
As Digital Trends notes, the US market could use a tablet like this, but there's no confirmed arrival date. Motorola's parent company Lenovo has rebranded similar devices before, so a US release under a different name remains possible. For now, the Moto Pad 70 Pro sits as a strong India-first option that puts stylus-in-box squarely against Samsung's Tab S10 Ultra strategy — at a fraction of the price.
