Xiaomi has launched the Wireless Mouse 4 Pro in China for 199 yuan (about $29), bringing an electromagnetic scroll wheel, silent clicks, and three-device connectivity to what is firmly budget territory. The mouse went on sale via JD.com on July 7. There's no word yet on a US or UK release date, but it's the kind of compact, affordable peripheral that often reaches Western markets within a few months via parallel imports — and eventually through official channels.

The hardware

At 115.5 × 62 × 36.5 mm and 66 grams (without battery), the Mouse 4 Pro is aimed at small to medium hands. The top cover is magnetic and pops off to reveal the battery compartment and a slot for the bundled 2.4 GHz USB receiver. Standard PTFE feet sit underneath.

The left and right buttons use TTC silent switches, designed for a longer travel distance so you still get tactile feedback without the noise. Side buttons have a metallic finish and support remapping. The scroll wheel uses an electromagnetic dynamic mechanism that switches automatically between notched and free-spin modes depending on how fast you move it — useful for both precise line-by-line scrolling and flying through long documents.

Xiaomi's TOG (Track-On-Glass) sensor lets the mouse work accurately on glass surfaces at least 4 mm thick, no mousepad needed.

Connectivity and setup

The Mouse 4 Pro connects to up to three devices simultaneously: one via the 2.4 GHz USB receiver, and two more over Bluetooth 5.0. A dedicated button on the body cycles between them. DPI presets are 1000, 1600, and 2400 — switchable on the fly, with a small LED on top showing current DPI and battery level.

There's no software to install. Settings — including button remapping and DPI selection — are handled through a browser-based utility, which keeps things tidy on shared or managed machines.

Availability

The Mouse 4 Pro is currently China-only, available in black and white per Gizmochina. No US, UK, or wider global launch has been announced. Xiaomi does sell older wireless mice on Amazon.co.uk — the Lite and Dual Mode Silent models sit around £15–25 — but the 4 Pro isn't listed there yet. At $29 it would slot into a gap between basic single-device mice and pricier multi-device options like Logitech's MX range, so Western availability would make sense whenever Xiaomi decides to push it out.
