Joyroom launched its PODIX PR70 power bank on Kickstarter on July 14, packing 240W of total output and 25,000mAh of capacity into a unit small enough to fly in carry-on luggage. The early-bird price is $79 — 47% below the listed $149 retail price, per PRNewswire. If you own a power-hungry laptop and travel frequently, this is one of the more capable options to hit crowdfunding in a while — with the usual caveats attached.
The hardware
The PR70 splits its 240W output across two USB-C ports: one at 140W and one at 100W. That's enough to run a MacBook Pro on each port simultaneously. Joyroom claims the 140W port brings a MacBook Pro to 50% in 25 minutes. The bank itself recharges fully in around two hours at 100W input.
Two built-in cables handle most connection needs without digging through a bag. A 70cm retractable USB-C cable delivers up to 140W; a shorter 32cm strap cable covers the 100W port. There's also a single USB-A port for older devices, and a low-current mode for earbuds and smartwatches. Up to five devices can charge at once.
The standout design feature is a pair of TFT color displays on opposite faces of the unit. Whichever way the bank sits — flat or upright — one screen stays visible. Both show charge level, remaining runtime, input and output wattage, temperature, battery health, and per-port load. It's more information than most rivals offer.
At 90Wh, the PR70 falls under the 100Wh airline carry-on limit. It's certified CE, FCC, CCC, and RoHS. The casing uses UL94 V-0 flame-retardant polycarbonate.

Crowdfunding in the high-power charging category routinely runs late — that's a category-wide pattern, not a Joyroom-specific record. Anker's 200W rival is already on shelves at comparable post-discount pricing, which is worth weighing if you need something today rather than sometime next year.
