Lenovo's ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 goes global with Snapdragon X2 and a 1.19 kg chassis
Lenovo has put the ThinkPad T14s Gen 7 Snapdragon Edition on sale globally, offering an ARM-based alternative to Intel and AMD ultrabooks at a weight of just 1.19 kg. UK pricing starts at £1,909, with US configurations from $1,719, per Notebookcheck. The laptop ships with Qualcomm's latest Snapdragon X2 chips and carries Copilot+ certification, which unlocks a set of Windows AI features aimed at business users.
The chips
Two processor options are available: the Snapdragon X2 Plus (X2P-42-100) and the more powerful Snapdragon X2 Elite (X2E-80-100). The catch — benchmarks show only a 20% performance difference between them, which may make the cheaper Plus variant the smarter buy for most people. Both support up to 32 GB of LPDDR5X-9600 RAM and an M.2 2242 SSD. Connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 7, and a 58 Wh battery covers all-day use claims. The redesigned chassis is described as more rigid than the previous generation, despite the sub-1.2 kg weight.
The screen and price
The 14-inch IPS panel runs at 1920×1200 and 60 Hz. Two variants are on offer: a 400-nit touchscreen covering 45% NTSC, or a 500-nit non-touch display with full sRGB coverage — the latter being the better pick for colour accuracy. There is no 5G option on the Snapdragon model, unlike the AMD Gen 7 variant.
In the UK, the base model (X2 Plus, 16 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD) costs £1,909. The X2 Elite with 32 GB RAM starts at £2,500, climbing to £2,690 for the 1 TB SSD configuration. EU pricing sits in the €2,009–€2,280 range, reports Gizmochina.
Worth it?
At these prices, the T14s Gen 7 Snapdragon sits firmly in business-laptop territory, competing with Copilot+ machines like the Microsoft Surface Laptop 7 and Dell's Snapdragon-based XPS lineup. The 1.19 kg weight is a genuine differentiator for frequent travellers. The fanless design and ARM efficiency also make it a quiet, cool machine — trade-offs that matter more on a 10-hour flight than in a benchmark chart. The global rollout began in North America in mid-July 2026 and is now reaching Europe.
