ATTACK SHARK's 39g F1 AIR Gaming Mouse Takes On Razer and Logitech
ATTACK SHARK has announced the F1 AIR, a wireless gaming mouse aimed squarely at competitive FPS players. It weighs 39g (±3g), runs at up to 8000 Hz polling, and carries a PixArt PAW3955MAX sensor with a 60,000 DPI ceiling. Preorders open August 17 on attackshark.com and via the brand's Amazon stores in the US and UK. Price has not been disclosed.
The hardware
The PAW3955MAX sensor adjusts sensitivity in 1 DPI steps across the full 1–60,000 DPI range, tracks at up to 850 IPS, and handles up to 75G of acceleration. Five lift-off distance levels are adjustable, and ATTACK SHARK says performance on glass mousepads is specifically improved over previous generations.
Wireless is handled by a Nordic nRF54L15 controller paired with the company's proprietary SMART SPEED WIRELESS technology. ATTACK SHARK claims input latency below 0.168ms at 8K polling on a capable PC. The dongle is shaped like a shark fin and houses a larger antenna than standard receivers; LED indicators show connection status, polling rate, and battery level.

Switches are Omron optical units rated for 100 million clicks. The shell has an Ice-Feel Glass coating, which the company says improves grip comfort and surface durability. At 39g, the F1 AIR is notably lighter than the Logitech G Pro X Superlight 2 (60g) and in the same bracket as the Finalmouse UltralightX for weight-conscious players.

The competitive picture
8000 Hz polling is now standard across flagship mice from Razer, Logitech, and Pulsar, so the F1 AIR matches rather than leads the field there. Where it could stand out is weight: 39g wireless is genuinely rare. The PAW3955MAX sensor will face scrutiny from the FPS community accustomed to Razer's Focus Pro and Logitech's HERO 2, but PixArt optical sensors have a solid track record in competitive peripherals.
ATTACK SHARK has built a foothold in the UK and US as a budget-friendly alternative, but the F1 AIR is positioned as a flagship. Everything depends on the price. A comparable Pulsar X2V2 (55g, 8K polling) runs around $79. If the F1 AIR lands below $70, it has a real case. If it pushes past $90, it needs to earn that tier against more established names.
