Google Pixel 11 goes on sale: more storage, higher prices, and one foldable caveat
Google's Pixel 11 family is officially on sale as of August 20, with four new phones launching at once: the base Pixel 11, the Pixel 11 Pro, the Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the Pixel 11 Pro Fold. The lineup covers more than 20 countries, though not every model ships everywhere — and the prices are nudging upward.
The storage swap
The base Pixel 11 starts at $899 for a 12GB/256GB configuration. That's $40 more than last year's Pixel 10 entry price — but Google quietly dropped the 128GB tier entirely, so the jump buys you double the storage at the bottom of the range. A 512GB version costs $1,020. Whether that makes the increase feel fair depends on how much you value the extra space.
Step up to the Pro models and the costs climb quickly. The Pixel 11 Pro starts at $1,099 for 256GB and reaches $1,450 for 1TB. The Pixel 11 Pro XL opens at $1,300 (256GB) and tops out at $1,650 for 1TB. US carriers including Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T; are offering trade-in deals that can bring the effective cost down sharply — the usual promotional math, not unique to this launch.

The foldable fine print
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold is the priciest phone in the lineup, starting at $1,900 for 16GB/256GB — $100 more than its predecessor. The 1TB version hits $2,250. In Europe, prices start at €999 for the standard Pixel 11 and reach up to €2,389 for the top-spec Fold, per Notebookcheck. In the UK, the entry Pixel 11 is priced at £879.
There's a notable regional catch: the Pixel 11 Pro Fold is not available in Czechia, Italy, Poland, Portugal, or Spain, confirms GSMArena. Google hasn't explained the restriction publicly — whether regulatory, licensing, or supply-related remains unclear.
What's alongside it
Google also launched the Pixel Watch 5 alongside the phones. Software-side, Android 17 is in development and promises better management of battery-hungry apps — a practical update that would benefit the new hardware when it arrives.
All Pixel 11 models are available now via the Google Store and major retailers. The Pixel 11 Pro Fold ships to the US and UK without restriction.
