Four games, four genres: PS Plus September lineup includes Sniper Elite, MLB The Show 26
PlayStation Plus subscribers get four new games starting September 1, covering more ground than most monthly drops. Sony confirmed the lineup on the PlayStation Blog: Sniper Elite: Resistance, MLB The Show 26, Wobbly Life, and Chained Echoes. All four are yours to keep as long as your subscription is active, and the window closes October 5.
The games
Sniper Elite: Resistance (PS5, PS4) launched January 30, 2025, and runs parallel to Sniper Elite 5 — same occupied France 1944 setting, different protagonist. It's a third-person stealth shooter with a full co-op campaign and an Axis Invasion mode that lets other players drop into your game as enemy snipers. Worth noting: the game was available day-one on Xbox Game Pass at launch, so this marks its first inclusion in a PlayStation subscription tier.
MLB The Show 26 (PS5 only) is the newest of the four — it released March 17, 2026, with New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge on the cover. The PS5 restriction means PS4 owners miss out here. The game ships with Diamond Dynasty, college teams, and content tied to the 2026 All-Star Game, making it one of the freshest sports titles to land on PS Plus in recent memory.
Wobbly Life (PS5, PS4) is a colorful open-world co-op game built around chaotic physics and odd jobs — think silly sandbox rather than structured campaign. It's a solid pick for playing with friends or family.
Chained Echoes (PS4) is a 16-bit-style JRPG developed entirely by one person, Matthias Linda. It wears its Final Fantasy VI influence openly and earned strong reviews on PC and other platforms before this PS Plus debut.
The clock on August
If you haven't grabbed this month's games yet, time is short. Dying Light 2: Stay Human, Big Walk, and Signalis leave the lineup on August 31. After that, the September four go live automatically for all Essential, Extra, and Premium subscribers.
Worth it?
The range here is genuinely broad. Sniper Elite fills the action niche, MLB The Show 26 serves sports fans (PS5 required), Wobbly Life handles the couch co-op slot, and Chained Echoes gives RPG players something to dig into. For a month where not every game will appeal to every person, there's at least something for most subscribers.
