Sapkowski is writing a new Witcher novel — and Geralt is back at the center
Andrzej Sapkowski has confirmed he is actively writing a new Witcher novel, with a personal target of finishing it by the end of 2027. The announcement came at Copernicon, a Polish fantasy festival held in Toruń. Given that his previous book, Crossroads of Ravens, only arrived in Polish in late 2024, this marks a notably fast pace for an author who spent the better part of a decade between major releases.
The book
Sapkowski kept plot details close to his chest, saying only that Geralt will once again be the story's focal point. When asked at Copernicon whether he planned spin-offs built around other franchise characters — Yennefer was mentioned as an example — he was brief: "I see no sense in doing that." Fans hoping for a Yennefer solo arc or other sideline stories should adjust their expectations accordingly.
Crossroads of Ravens was a prequel covering Geralt's earliest adventures after graduating from the School of the Wolf. The new book is described as a continuation focused on Geralt himself, though no timeline in his life or narrative scope has been confirmed.
