Global MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition announced
September 15 will be the premiere of smartphones Xiaomi 11T. A global version of MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition was expected to be announced along with them, but the company decided to unveil the firmware three weeks earlier.
What is known?
During the presentation of the Chinese version MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition it became known that the firmware significantly improves the optimization and stability. The developers announced about 160 system-level improvements and over two hundred fixes for pre-installed software bugs.
MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition increases the retention time of applications in RAM. At the same time, the speed of the built-in storage drops much slower. The developers managed to optimize the interaction between the firmware and the single-chip system, which resulted in improved power efficiency and battery life. In particular, the new version of the shell consumes 8% less energy and loads the chip on average 15% less.
When to expect?
Despite the official premiere of the global MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition, there will be a long wait for the update. The probability that Xiaomi Mi 11T smartphones will get the updated shell out of the box, but other models will receive the update "by air" only from the fourth quarter of this year.
