OnePlus has released a test build of OxygenOS 12 for its flagship OnePlus 9 and OnePlus 9 Pro smartphones.

What's New

The firmware came out with the build number OxygenOS 12 Beta 1 and is based on the fresh Android 12 operating system. The new shell has got an updated user interface. It now has more shadows and more "textured" branded app icons.

Of the dramatic changes in OxygenOS 12 the new Shelf feed is worth mentioning. It has become more customizable. Users can now add widgets of different sizes there, group them and set wallpaper. OnePlus has also added a new health card to the feed, which displays steps, heart rate and other metrics from the OnePlus Watch. In addition, OnePlus Shelf has added a widget with headphone controls.

Also added to OxygenOS 12 is Work Life Balance 2.0 mode. It allows grouping notifications and changing their priority. Other improvements include a customizable Dark Mode with three shades of black, new OnePlus Notes app, updated Canvas AOD 2.0 and more.
