ASUS announced Android 12 release schedule for Zenfone 8, Zenfone 7 and ROG Phone series

ASUS today detailed its plans to roll out a stable Android 12 update to its ROG and ZenFone flagships. The Taiwanese company will start rolling out stable Android 12 by the end of this year, starting with the ZenFone 8 series, while devices like the ROG Phone 5 and others will join the Android 12 batch early next year.
ASUS has confirmed a stable Android 12 update for the following smartphones:
From December 2021:
- ASUS ZenFone 8
- ASUS ZenFone 8 Flip
From Q1 2022:
- ASUS ROG Phone 5
- ASUS ROG Phone 5S
From Q2 2022:
- ASUS ZenFone 7
- ASUS ROG Phone 3
Besides the usual changes in Android 12, ASUS will include battery and performance improvements in the update. And for the ZenFone lineup, the update includes a few ZenUI-specific changes, such as optimized dashboards, improved visibility, and improved customization.
