MIUI camera has a new Front camera assistant feature: what it is

Xiaomi has released the weekly test build of MIUI 21.10.28, which introduces a new useful camera feature - Front camera assistant.

What's known

According to the MIUIes Telegram channel, the feature offers two options. The first one increases the brightness of the display during a video call. This allows the caller to see you better during dark times. The second option turns on the face enhancement filter during a video call.

When to expect

The feature Front camera assistant is still being tested. Unfortunately no one knows when it will be added to the stable release.
