Vivo introduced a new version of OriginOS Ocean: which smartphones and when will be updated

Vivo today unveiled a new version of its proprietary shell, OriginOS Ocean, and announced which devices will receive it and when.

What's new?

OriginOS Ocean adds a redesigned design, dynamic app icons and more customization options. For example, you can change the whole theme, its individual elements, select colors for individual folders. In addition, the standard apps, animations, notification menus and quick settings have been completely redesigned.

Who will be updated?

According to the official list, OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12 will receive nearly 50 Vivo and iQOO smartphone models. Distribution will begin at the end of December, but, most likely, we are talking about a public beta versions...

But keep in mind that this only applies to users in China. Like the original OriginOS, the new OriginOS Ocean won't hit international markets. This is because Vivo and iQOO have already presented their Android 12-based Funtouch OS 12 update plan for regions outside of China.
