Old Samsung flagships unexpectedly got One UI 4.0 stable firmware on Android 12

Today we wrote about the release of One UI 4.0 on Android 12 for six Samsung smartphones announced in 2020. But as it turned out, the company suddenly released a stable version of firmware for three more older models.

What we know

We're talking about the Samsung Galaxy S10, Galaxy S10 + and Galaxy S10e. They were all released almost three years ago. The Lite version, which debuted two years ago at CES 2020, has decided to keep running on One UI 3.1 with Android 11 for now.

The release of the stable version of One UI 4.0 for the Samsung Galaxy S10 family looks strange for two reasons. Firstly, just the day before the company released the third beta version of the software. Secondly, the final assembly by them is promised only in January 2022.

So far, the release of One UI 4.0 with Android 12 is reported by residents of Germany. As always, the company sends out updates in waves. In the near future, users of other countries will be able to update the software of their smartphones.
