Google plans to fix Gemini AI flaws after high-profile scandals

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has expressed serious concern about the errors that occur in Gemini artificial intelligence, calling them completely unacceptable. In an internal memo obtained by The Verge, Pichai stressed that Google's mission is to provide access to useful information for all users, and this principle should be upheld in all of the company's products, including new aspects of artificial intelligence development.

Here's What We Know

Problems with text recognition and image creation of AI Gemini caused serious outrage among users and provoked significant criticism due to possible bias. Google recently suspended the model's ability to generate images after it became aware of cases of inaccuracies, such as the creation of images of racially diverse German soldiers from the Nazi era and the incorrect depiction of the race of the US founding fathers.

The CEO stressed that the company is working around the clock to address these issues, although he did not provide specific details on plans in this regard. He also acknowledged that none of the AI products are perfect, especially at this stage of the technology's development. Nevertheless, he confirmed that Google sets a high bar for quality and will do its best to meet it.
