Announcement Nokia X6: almost frameless smartphone with a "bang" and a dual camera

HMD finally introduced the smartphone Nokia X6, which was first shown in April. However, almost everything about the gadget was known long before the announcement.

What kind of beast?

The Nokia X6 received a 5.8-inch FHD + display (2280x1080 pixels) with a 19: 9 aspect ratio and a cutout at the top. As with most machines with "bangs", the bottom frame is thicker, there was enough space for a logo. The front panel is covered with a 2.5D-glass Gorilla Glass 3. For performance meets the eight-core chipset Snapdragon 636, several versions of the smartphone are expected: with 4 GB of operating and 32/64 GB of internal memory, as well as the top version of 6/64 GB.

The main camera of the smartphone is dual: the basic 16-megapixel module with f / 2.0 aperture and the second one at 5 megapixels with optics f / 2.2. It is needed to blur the background in portrait mode. The front camera is 16-megapixel. There is a proprietary mode of simultaneous shooting on the front and back cameras.

The battery capacity of 3060 mAh supports fast charging up to 50% for 30 minutes (USB Type-C port). There are modules WiFi 802.11 a / b / g / n / ac and Bluetooth 5.0, NFC not delivered. On the glass back panel is also located a fingerprint scanner. The dimensions of the case are 147.2x70.98x8.59 mm. Three colors are available: black, white and dark blue.

Question price

In China, the price of the Nokia X6 starts at $ 205 for the base model, the 4/64 GB version costs about $ 235. For a smartphone in the top configuration (6/64 GB), ask for $ 270. Close to the design and characteristics of the Huawei P20 will cost significantly more, and even the Vivo Y85 on the Snapdragon 450 costs under $ 300. More closely priced Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 (from $ 173) is equipped with a "high" screen without a cutout and a more capacious battery, but the competitor's size is larger.

Curiously, in the distant 2009 "old Nokia" released the flagship Symbian-smartphone of the XpressMusic line with the same name Nokia X6.

As for the global release of the novelty, the representative of HMD Global, Juho Sarvikas has already hinted that after the launch in China, the model may appear in other countries. Just did not say when:
