Fujifilm unveiled the new X-T5 for $1700

Fujifilm announced a new mirrorless camera at the X Summit event. It's called the Fujifilm X-T5.

Here's What We Know

The novelty has got a three-axis tilting screen, which was used in the X-T3 camera. It has a resolution of 1.89 million pixels. The Fujifilm X-T5 uses a relatively modest 0.5" viewfinder with a resolution of 3.69 million pixels.

The camera is equipped with a 40.2 MP APS-C sensor. It can shoot 4K ULTRA HD video at up to 60 FPS. The manufacturer also claims 6.2K resolution scaling, but only at 30 FPS. In addition, there is Pixel Shift sensor-shift shooting and five-axis matrix stabilization. The maximum photo resolution is 160 MP.

The downside compared to the X-T4 is that the new camera holds 16 fewer RAW files - 19 versus 35. But there are advantages, too. The Fujifilm X-T5 is equipped with a higher capacity battery, which allows you to take 740 photos on a single charge. On board there is a slot for two SD cards UHS II.

This new camera measures 129.5 x 91 x 63.3 mm and weighs 557 g. It is therefore 50 g lighter and slightly more compact than the X-T4. The design wise, the Fujifilm X-T5 is almost identical to the X-T1.

Price

The price of the Fujifilm X-T5 has not changed compared to the previous generation model and is $1700. Available colors are silver and black. XF 30mm f/2.8 R LM WR Macro lens and MHG-XT5 grip are available at $600 and $130 respectively.
