Acer introduced a $999 exercise bike that can charge gadgets by pedaling

The Taiwanese manufacturer Acer at CES 2023, in addition to monitors and laptops, presented a rather unusual device. It is called eKinekt BD 3 and is an exercise bike, equipped with a table.

Here's What We Know

The novelty is equipped with ports for recharging devices. Electricity is generated during the rotation of the pedals. 60 revolutions per minute is enough to produce 75 watts of power. You can charge an iPhone 13 Pro Max in less than an hour and a half.

The eKinekt BD 3 table is equipped with two USB-A connectors and one USB-C, which allows you to charge multiple devices simultaneously. In Working mode you can put a laptop on the table and type. In Sport mode, the table is pushed back and the user can engage in a more intense workout.

The body of the eKinekt BD 3 is made of recycled plastic. The same goes for the table. Sales of the exercise bike will start in April 2023. The cost of the new product is $999.
