Drop Black Speech Keyboard - Sauron's spectacular black keyboard from The Lord of the Rings for $199

Drop and Middle-earth Enterprises have unveiled a new keyboard based on the J.R.R. Tolkien books. It will go on sale in late spring 2023.

Here's What We Know

The new product is called Drop Black Speech Keyboard. It's a striking mechanical keyboard that uses a black adverb layout. That's the language of the dark lord Sauron and his minions. It is coloured with the image of the all-seeing Eye.

The keyboard is made of anodised aluminium. It features Holy Panda X mechanical switches and 87 keys. The Drop Black Speech Keyboard comes with replaceable caps for some keys, pliers for removing them and a cable for connecting to a computer.

The Space key shows an inscription in the language of Mordor, while the Enter key shows an image of Narsil Sword splinters. The left Win key has an image of Nazgûl on a horse and the ring of omnipotence on the right. "My Precious" is also visible on the Esc key.

Price & When We Can Expect It

The Drop Black Speech Keyboard is priced at $199. The keyboard is now available for pre-order at $149. Sales will begin in mid-May 2023.
