Samsung unveils Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380 processors for low-cost smartphones

South Korean manufacturer Samsung has officially announced two mobile processors. They are called Exynos 1330 and Exynos 1380. Both are aimed at low-cost smartphones. Notably, the Exynos 1330 has already been on the market for over a month, although the official premiere has only just taken place.

Here's What We Know

The Exynos 1330 made its debut in January as part of the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G smartphone. The mobile processor has eight Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 (2+6) cores, clocked at 2.4GHz and 2GHz respectively. The graphics subsystem is represented by a Mali-G68 clocked at 0.95GHz.

The Exynos 1330-based smartphones support a 120Hz refresh rate display and main cameras with 108 MP resolution. The mobile processor itself is made using 5nm technology.

The second novelty is also a 5-nanometer chip with Cortex-A78 and Cortex-A55 cores. The frequencies have not changed, but the circuit is different - 2 + 6. The graphics chip is the same - Mali-G68@950 MHz. The most advanced Exynos 1380-based smartphone will offer users a 200 MP main camera, 144Hz display, LPDDR5 RAM, UFS 3.1 storage and will be able to shoot 4K UHD video at 30 FPS.

As we mentioned above, the Exynos 1330 is used in the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G, which costs around $200. Exynos 1380, on the other hand, we'll see in the Samsung Galaxy A54 5G very soon. According to preliminary reports, the smartphone will be priced at €410/430 in Europe.
