Honor to unveil budget smartphone Play 40 with 5100mAh battery

Honor is working on a new budget smartphone. The model will hit the market under the name Honor Play 40.

Here's What We Know

The smartphone has the model number WDY-AN00. It has appeared in the database of the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) along with a small part of the specifications.

Alas, the regulator's website only states that the Honor Play 40 will get a 2.2GHz 8-core processor, a 5100mAh battery and will remain without fast charging. Power will be a modest 10W.

According to unconfirmed information, the smartphone will feature an HD+ LCD display, a 13 MP + 2 MP primary camera and a fingerprint scanner. The front camera will have a resolution of 5 MP.

Honor Play 40 will be the successor of Honor Play 30. The model appeared in May last. It got Snapdragon 480+ processor, 5000mAh battery and 6.5" HD+ panel.
