Samsung Galaxy M55 will be the thinnest smartphone in the M-series, and will also get up to 12GB of RAM and a Snapdragon processor

Samsung recently refreshed its mid-budget A-series with the new Galaxy A35 and Galaxy A55. Now the company is also preparing to announce new budget smartphones of the M-series, the representative of which will soon be the new Galaxy M55. Earlier some information about the device has already appeared and now a new leak has confirmed some more features of the M55.

Here's What We Know

Insider @stufflistings in his tweet said that the new Galaxy M55 will be the thinnest representative of its lineup, as well as get up to 12 GB of RAM. He also confirmed that the smartphone will be equipped with Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor. The informant also shared some photos of the upcoming novelty.

@stufflistings says this configuration will be available in India. Whether the device's 12GB RAM configurations will be on sale in other markets is still unknown.

Samsung started the practice of increasing RAM size for mid-budget models only this year. The first 12 GB RAM received the recently announced Galaxy A55. Before that, such an option was available only for the company's flagships.

As for other specs, the Galaxy M55 may get a 6.6-inch Full HD+ OLED display at 120Hz, a 5,000mAh battery, and may also support 45W fast charging. This will be Samsung's first non-flagship phone with 45W fast charging. Also, judging by the photos, the fingerprint scanner may move from the side edge - under the display, as the power button has the usual shape, without the sensor.

The announcement of the Galaxy M55 should take place in the near future.
