French criminals have found a way to steal cars with keyless entry technology. The JBL portable music speaker helps them in this.
Here's What We Know
A new theft scheme was uncovered by French police during a search of a Peugeot 2008. According to the detained kidnappers, their method allows them to steal Peugeot, Toyota and Lexus cars.
The method consists of using a modified version of the JBL Bluetooth speaker, which has a built-in quick-start key. With his help, you can start the car in less than a minute after connecting the speaker to the audio system of the vehicle via USB.
The car theft speakers are sold on the black market for €5000. Along with the musical accessory, burglars gain access to a video that explains in detail how to hack a car's security system.
