British engineer and industrial designer Grant Sinclair, who is the nephew of the legendary Clive Sinclair - the creator of the famous home computer ZX Spectrum, announced his own development.

Here's What We Know

Sinclair presented GamerCard - an ultra-compact console for retro-gaming.

The device is based on the Raspberry Pi Zero 2W and features dimensions comparable to a gift card. The GamerCard features a square 4-inch IPS display with a resolution of 720×720 pixels, eight silicone control buttons and side keys. Inside, there's a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor, 128GB of inbuilt memory and a 1600mAh battery.

The console supports popular emulators including RetroPie, Recalbox and Lakka, and is compatible with games for the NES, SNES, Sega Genesis, Game Boy and PlayStation. The bundle includes two indie games, Bloo Kid 2 and AstroBlaze DX, previously only available on Nintendo Switch, now adapted for the GamerCard's square screen.

The device is just 6.5mm thick and weighs 100g. The body features USB-C, HDMI ports and a Qwiic connector for connecting peripherals. The console is priced at £125/$170.

GamerCard is positioned as a stylish solution for fans of retro-gaming, who appreciate minimalism and portability.
