Media: Konami is working on three new games in the Silent Hill series and remasters of classic Metal Gear Solid parts

Ahead of the Tokyo Game Show 2022, Konami has made a "big announcement for the beloved franchise worldwide". Given the persistent rumors about the Japanese publisher's return to the Silent Hill series of horror movies, analysts and gamers logically assumed that this would be the Silent Hill universe title.

Insiders and journalists were divided on what Konami will be announcing: some of them think that this will be a reboot of the series, while others think that this will be a remake of the second Silent Hill 2 title from the Polish studio Bloober Team.

VGC portal is of the second opinion. According to their information, Konami will be announcing an updated version of Silent Hill 2 at Tokyo Game Show 2022, which is likely to become a PlayStation 5 console exclusive. At the same time journalists have confirmed that a certain Japanese studio is currently working on a completely new game, which will be a restart of the Silent Hill series. This project is not ready for public demonstration.

In addition, VGC has information that publisher Annapurna Interactive is working on another Silent Hill game. It is mentioned that this game will have an episodic narrative model.

In addition to Silent Hill, if we believe VGC, Konami is also planning to take over the well known Metal Gear Solid series. It is mentioned that the Japanese studio is working on remasters of the first three parts of MGS. It is possible that they will be sold as a set, and individually.

Konami has not commented on this information.

We wait for the official announcements at Tokyo Game Show 2022.
